Charming hotel well placed near Gare Flandres. Room quite hot at night without A/C, but comfortable overall.

Friendly welcome, great room (103), felt like a small flat with corridors and defined areas, quiet, comfortable, good decor, good shower room with big towels and little bottles of shower gel, separate toilets, great original furniture from early 20th century, good breakfast.Very close to all the sights, old quarters, museums, wazemmes market etc
The hotel has 65 bedrooms and only a quarter were occupied, as it is only a two stars, it would have been great to benefit from a better rate/tariff for the bedroom...that would also ensure more customers as despite the heavy rain, the town was busy.

The folks working here were welcoming. Had great and fab location near the old town. Moreover, it was just next door to town centre, and gothic church.
The staff - some of them were not very welcoming.

We had the most perfect 10/10 few days there. This place was ideal, with airy rooms, superbly friendly staff. The location was great for Lille, just next door to restaurants can be found and all attractions, old town, shops, train stations and restaurants and the train station. Liked our rooms like in the pictures. We booked it for US$ 103.

Oh, the culinary gems around Brueghel are unreal! We savored traditional Greek dishes nearby, and the breakfast was spot on. Plus, the super comfy rooms and helpful staff.
The room vibe was good, but it had a fun soundtrack of splashing water from above. Curtains could've been better at blocking out that cheeky light sneaking in late at night. Still, it added to the character!

Very friendly staff and great location. The room was very well decorated and comfortable and very clean. I would have like a large in-room safe ofr camera/computer though. I would highly recommend it overall.

The location and the quirkiness of the hotel was pleasing - wonderful to see an authentic lift - the breakfast was nice . I would happily stay in this hotel again . One small point that I missed was a tea / coffee facility in the room - essential to British . Overall a very pleasant stay - Thank you Michael - Jane. P.s this hotel was recommended by a well travelled colleague - a good choice.
No tea / coffee in The room or downstairs , I thought how nice the lounge setting was with the Chesterfield sofa and lounge chairs - it would have been nice to spend half an hour with a coffee .

The Superior Double Room was lovely, with a charming view of the church across the street. Super clean, and the bed was really comfy with plush pillows. Cozy and stylish, but might feel tight if you like to spread out.

They gave a double room with bath, good bed and fantastic view as we booked. The breakfast was good, there was a wide range of food to chose from.

The location was very good, the Breakfast was good.
The curtains didn't block out the sun too much in the morning. The bedroom furniture were basic as was the decoration.

Loved the bright, spacious room and the comfy bed. Location was spot on for exploring, and I appreciated the clean bedding. They even had complimentary water and coffee-such a nice touch! Perfect for my little getaway.
But, dear, those thin walls! I could've sworn I was at a concert with all the noise. Good thing I'm a heavy sleeper, or I'd have been cringing at every giggle and car honk.

Location: close to train station; Room and establishment was quite clean; Elevator could only hold 2 people but is a novelty as it is quite old style. Good place for only 1 night and on a budget.
Beds: mattresses need replacing sagging to the middle of the bed; shower only had a hand held shower head made it difficult to bathe; no hair dryer; location of hotel was beside a church in a iffy part of the city.
